DogHorseCity
Project for DogsBehingBars Belgium and DogHorseCity, published in Woef magazine in September 2021.
DOGHORSECITY Association for the Protection of Animals and Plants is a national association founded in 2010 by Ángel Félez who seeks to achieve a change in the laws of our country on animal protection, as well as the change in the management of the collection of animals, eliminating the collection by kennels where dogs are not recovered or treated and ensuring that this is covered by responsible protectors. Doghorsecity does not receive state aid or subsidies to maintain the work it carries out. It generates what is necessary through material or economic donations received to support the animals it houses, cover its veterinary needs and maintain the facilities.
An average of 350 dogs are housed in the shelter, all of them the result of abandonment and/or mistreatment, mostly in the Toledo area (Spain). In this center they seek the psychological and physical rehabilitation of the animal with the ultimate goal of reintegrating it into family life and finding it a new responsible home.
DOGHORSECITY advocate for animals and we are their voice in cases of abuse, denouncing any fact in which there is abuse and / or abandonment of animals.
Doghorsecity is made up of a group of volunteers and collaborators who each, and in a different way, make this shelter able to help dogs and their owners in the best possible way. They are people who, with a lot of dedication, will and effort, make sure that every day each of the animals that are here or that are to arrive, have a different opportunity to be able to have a dignified life as each being deserves.
